Over the past couple of months, we’ve been carrying out lots of user testing at Oroson. We knew our customers were happy with the product and loved the simplicity of the interface, but a handful of new users were having trouble getting set up when they first arrived. So, we knew it was time to put our product to the test, with a focus on the sign-up and onboarding process and see where the pain points lay.

Overall, the results were positive. People found the sign-up flow to be straightforward and the value of Oroson was apparent. The main areas for improvement lay around user experience – specifically navigating the product. There are key features within your Boards that have been too hidden, and with some tweaks (and a lot of hard work from the design & dev teams) we have released a number of enhancements that will make it easier for you to share your Boards with greater control and a much-improved experience.

Today, your Oroson will be automatically updated with the following changes:

  • A refreshed UI ๐ŸŽจ
    No more cream tones, folks. We have gone back to our roots and stripped the interface back to two core colors: black & white. Your content can now shout even louder, and with the new dark sidebar, the app is now much easier to navigate.

  • A more accessible Share Board menu โœ‰๏ธ
    Some new users found it quite difficult to share their Boards, so we’ve added the ability to invite people via email or link directly from your Board, without having to access the Board submenu.

  • A new Board Visibility menu ๐Ÿ‘€
    We’ve made it even easier for you to control who sees your Boards with the new Board Visibility menu. Toggle between Invite only, Public or visible to All Workspace members.

  • Simplified permissions ๐Ÿ”“
    There was some confusion around Board permissions with new users, so we changed it up. You can now apply:
    • Full access (can invite & change Board settings)
    • Can edit
    • Can read
